Why do we want the Settings to fit us? Simple. We need to be comfortable with our learning environment. ReadSpeaker gives you and your learners the freedom of choice. You may choose one set of settings for your laptop and a different set for your phone.
Who
Each user can personalize their individual learning environment. Options like dark mode; others prefer a light background, and some might want a larger or different font. We all have various needs and preferences, so encourage your learners to explore the setting selections and decide what is best for them.
When
When should we make our selections? That is an excellent question that really depends on the individual learner. Some learners want everything set up before they start anything else. Others like to try the default Settings before adjusting them. There are six areas in Settings:
Settings (Highlighting colors for your word and sentence)
Text Mode Settings (how you want your text mode pop-up to appear - found on top of each of these setting pages)
Other Settings (Scrolling and pop-up player)
Settings for Reading Tools (Page Mask color and transparency settings)
Shortcuts (Keyboard shortcuts)
Restore (Reset your selections to the default settings)
